Light bulbs are not accepted in any local recycling program. Fluorescent tubes and compact fluorescent light bulbs contain trace amounts of mercury and must be disposed of at a hazardous waste facility. Dispose of all other light bulbs in the garbage, including incandescent, halogen and LED types.
