Milk, dairy and juice cartons are increasingly being accepted into local recycling programs. In fact, 74% of municipalities registered with Recycle Coach accept them, as long as they are empty, clean and dry. Other municipalities, likely because there is no local market for them, ask you to dispose of them in the garbage.
