Window glass and mirror glass are not accepted in any local recycling program. These types of glass have different melting temperatures so when they are mixed with glass bottles and jars, the result is poor quality glass bottles that can have defects. Small pieces of window and mirror glass can be disposed of in the garbage. Be sure to wrap or seal them in a box so that another family member or worker does not risk injury.
